Special classes with talented classmates. Students in the honors program are some of the most academically talented on campus and share your commitment to academic achievement. Classes are limited to 15 students and encourage student participation. The curriculum is not necessarily more difficult, but is designed to enrich the student’s academic experience. Moreover, Honors Program students enjoy privileges unavailable to others on campus, such as attending cultural activities and off-campus retreats. Exceptional Faculty. Honors students have the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors Kingwood has to offer. Faculty who teach in the Honors Program maintain our highest academic standards. Transferability. Honors students may transfer automatically into the Honors Programs of numerous Texas 4-year universities. Recognition and scholarships. Honors students are eligible for special scholarships to cover educational costs, such as tuition, fees, and books. Students also receive special recognition at graduation and on their diplomas. The Honors Scholar and Scholar with Distinction awards are given to those who maintain a 3.5 GPA and fulfill service learning requirements. |
